There’s fear of the future within you, but for a moment you don’t even mind.
In that moment
Laughter billows,
Wind brushes past;
You feel like you’re floating.
In that moment
Songs blast,
Lyrics scream;
You have no cares.
In that moment
Snapchats are sent,
Friends encourage;
You make courageous choices.
After that moment, you’re left feeling some indescribable mixture of your old fear combined with peace and pure confusion. And the cycle repeats.

We must have been on the same wavelength this week because I did Fear, too. I relate to your poem! I fear a lot about what is to come, but I drown it out with music.
Such an amazing poem!

What an eerie meditation on the moments of life that oscillate between joy and fear. Those moments of belly-aching laughter make the cycle worth it though.

I really liked how you combined seemingly opposite experiences, but had them all relate to fear. It was really interesting to read. It was a deep poem about such a universal emotion. Great job!

Wow. I think you managed to relay an experience that is really personal to you in a way that is super relatable. We all fear different things, yet the feeling itself seems to be pretty universal. Do did a beautiful job of capturing that. Great job!
